Carlos Huerta
Captain
Carlos Huerta is the Director of Racquet Sports and a certified USPTA and IPTPA professional. Born and raised in Guayaquil, Ecuador, Carlos moved to the U.S. at the age of 17. He competed on the ATP Tour for four years and achieved a major career highlight in 1988, winning the South America Junior Cup Championship in both singles and doubles. Carlos also represented Ecuador in the Davis Cup in 1989 and 1990. Carlos went on to play collegiate tennis at Indiana Wesleyan University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Economics and Business Administration. He has been married to his wife, Dawn, for 24 years, and they have three children: Sophia (20), Susana (18), and Carlos (Charlie) (15). For the past 14 years, Carlos has been a valued member of the Audubon community, where he continues to feel blessed to share his passion for racquet sports.
Alex is the Director of Court Sports at Greyhawk, bringing extensive experience and passion for the game. Born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, Alex played collegiate tennis for four years at the University of Delaware and later served as an Assistant Tennis Coach for the program for one year. Before joining Greyhawk, Alex spent five years as the Head Tennis Professional at Bay Colony, developing players across all skill levels. His leadership and expertise continue to elevate court sports at Greyhawk.

Diego Motivar, originally from Bogotá, Colombia, is a former collegiate tennis player for Columbus State University. During his time there, he balanced athletics and academics, earning a degree in Marketing and Management. A lifelong tennis enthusiast, Diego admires Roger Federer not only for his skill but also for his sportsmanship and elegance on the court. Outside of tennis, Diego enjoys traveling, especially to the beach, where he finds relaxation and inspiration. He is currently building his career at Quail West, combining his passion for sports, business, and customer service in a dynamic environment.

George is an accomplished tennis player and coach with deep roots in the sport. He competed in both singles and doubles at the University of Colorado, where he also gained valuable experience as a coach, shaping the next generation of players. After moving to Naples in 2011, George quickly became a prominent figure in the local tennis scene. His dedication and skill earned him the men’s 5.0 singles title at the Naples Clay Championships in 2014, a victory that solidified his reputation. Not one to rest on his laurels, George continued to excel and reclaimed the men’s 5.0 singles title at the 2017 Naples Clay Championships, adding another impressive achievement to his career. Today, George remains passionate about tennis, both as a competitor and mentor, actively contributing to the sport within the Naples community.

Hernan Nunez, originally from Bogotá, Colombia, has been a tennis professional in the Naples area for over 20 years. He currently serves as the Tennis Director at the Community School of Naples and works as a private coach for high-performance junior players, helping them reach their full potential. A dedicated member of the Germain BMW of Naples Professional Tennis League since its inception, Hernan is known for his passion for the sport and his commitment to developing players of all ages and skill levels. His experience and expertise have made him a respected figure in the local tennis community.

Jicham Zaatini is the Director of Racquet Sports at Wyndemere Country Club. Born in Maracay, Venezuela, Jicham has had a distinguished international career, representing Lebanon in the Davis Cup for ten years. With a deep passion for racquet sports and decades of experience at the highest levels of competition, Jicham now brings his expertise to Wyndemere, fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment for players of all ages and abilities.

Kyle was born and raised in Naples, FL where he grew up playing competitive junior tennis and traveling soccer. He attended Naples High School where he played varsity tennis, soccer, and cross-country. Kyle later graduated from the University of Central Florida in Orlando. While there he studied Classical Humanities with a minor in History and competed on the UCF club tennis team. He has been a Certified USPTA tennis teaching professional here in Naples since 2012 and has worked at Cambier Park, Treviso Bay, and is now the Head Racquet Professional at Audubon Country Club.

Sam Macleod, originally from Glasgow, Scotland, has spent the past four years in the United States, building a career in tennis coaching and instruction. He is currently the Head Professional at Hammock Bay Country Club, where he oversees tennis programs and works closely with players of all levels. Before this role, Sam gained valuable experience at The Little Harbor Club in Harbor Springs, Michigan. A recent graduate of Mercer University in Macon, Georgia, Sam played on the school’s Division I tennis team, consistently holding a top-three position in the lineup. Known for his strong work ethic and competitive spirit, he earned Conference Player of the Week honors twice during his final season. Sam brings the same dedication and passion to his coaching, helping others develop their skills and love for the game.
